If you need a more formal introduction, I graduated with a degree in Political Science and French, with an International Relations certification, specializing in Middle East Studies, as well as a secondary Ed certificate. I used this degree to teach middle school math before joining the publishing world, where I do my best to help authors find their voice, while continually re-discovering the joy of writing.
Megan (Megan Clements, co-owner) is an author who couldn’t nail down just one genre to write in so she edits and coaches fiction to satisfy her constant curiosity. She prides herself in being able to
predict the ending of a movie within the first ten minutes, and can belt out entire
Broadway musicals in the shower. Not only is she a book coach helping authors
discover their own voice, but you can find her on the volleyball court, coaching high
school athletes to reach their potential. She thrives on busy, people, and books so
working with authors is the absolute dream come true.
- I’m a huffleclaw
- Team Jacob
- Gale should have got the girl
- I would be Athena’s daughter
- Kaz Brekker is a heartthrob, but I don’t trust the guy so it would never work
- The Black Widow is better than Wonder Woman–this is the hill I will die on
- Audiobooks are real books, especially if they are told by Steve West
If you need a more formal introduction, I have a B.A. in English from Idaho State
University. I’ve been published in magazines nationally, including Highlights for
Children. I was the editor-in-chief of a bride magazine for two years where I learned
the importance of writing the things that interest me which, coincidently, is not
weddings. I was chosen for a Pitch Wars mentorship in 2018 for my MG Fantasy
novel, The Curse of the Passkey. I signed with an agent and went on submission to
the Big 5 publishing houses. I learned firsthand that a lot of publishing is about luck
and timing, and I guess it wasn’t my time but I still love that book. I’m an Author
Accelerator Certified Book Coach. I’ve taught writing at conferences including
Storymakers and Snake River Writers and love helping writers discover their own
process so they can enjoy a long and sustainable writing careers.
Allie is an author who accidentally started a publishing design company. She’s a rebel at heart with a strong distaste for formal education—preferring the experiential and self directed approach to learning. She’s lived many lives in her three and a half decades with only one constant—a fascination with the human condition.
She dropped out of University where she studied psychology to go to beauty school, owned her own spa at 19 before selling it to travel the world, and finally settled down in a great art program…only to drop out with one class left to take. You can find Allie on her website www.amartinbooks.com
